was wondering which is a better pet 2 fire bellied newts or 1 salamander and how is a salamanders tank set up |

It's down to personal choice really, because they are both different to keep.
Newts are more aquatic, so you need a set up with both a water area and a land area. Keeping the water clean is the main concern with newts.
I prefer terrestrial species so I have salamanders. They just need a good soily substrate like eco-earth, a few hides and a good-sized water bowl.
Both species would eat similar things and are relatively easy to care for. |
