It's advisable to have the set up ready before you get them really (although there will be all the necessary things for sale there too).

Just a secure tank, some eco-earth substrate, a few plant pot hides, logs, plants etc are all they need. The main thing is just to make sure you can keep them cool, so you need to set them up in place where it doesn't get too hot.

excellent im in negotiations with potential cheufeurs might make it a family outing. will i be able to get habitat whilst there or will it be best to try and get 1 beforehand.

We got ours from Doncaster show - So you could be in Luck - Pollywog has some in stock so If he's there he might bring some - they are great little phibs

ok we dont sell sals at my place so where can i get them reasonably cheap. i'm only in nottingham so would the donny show be a good idea?? where can i find directions?

Fire Sals are pretty easy to care for - I would probably say easier than newts, just because they aren't aquatic so you haven't got the hassle of getting the filtration right and changing the water

awww she is really cute and awesome (im just guessing its a she by the name). almost making me change my mind about getting newts now i might go for sals instead. which would you recommend for a beginner?
