Are Salamanders normally territorial or are mine weird?
I don't mean territorial in a bad way because they aren't nasty of defensive to each other, but Frida is always in the flower pot and Tash is always under the leaves of the same plant.
If Tash gets scared he'll make his way to the flower pot to hide with Frida, but then wanders back to his plant as soon as the coast is clear.
Does that sound about right? I thought they were supposed to wander about a lot so didn't expect them to establish 'homes' of their own. |

Good
Although I was surprised yesterday because they seemed to have swapped houses. Frida was under the plant and Tash was in the flower pot. Maybe they fancied a change
Plus another thing- is wrestling normal? Watched them last night and Tash climbed on top of Frida and tried to pin her head down, then once he'd managed it he let her go. Wondered if this is the way they try to show domininance in the group? |
