can venus fly traps be used in a planted tank set up, ive seen the few for sale on dartfrog and my local garden center sells them for 2 quid and quite fancy one

any help would be great cheers

Just posted in your set up before I saw this.

My concern would be that it would get trampled by the sals, as I know VFT's are quite a sensitive little plant- but I might be wrong

Have you checked the safe plant list to make sure it's non-toxic? Can't remember if it's on the safe plant list or not.
