Day 4- The start of little nubbins

You can clearly see that they have started to develop 'nubbins' and are no longer just kidney bean shaped. We suspect these 'nubbins' are probably the gills as they don't grow legs or arms until after they've hatched.

Day 6 in the Axolotl House

The Gills get bigger and colours get more defined - It looks like we have a wild-type (olive brown coloured) and the majority are Albino. Won't know until they are bigger if there are any golden type albinos or not... hopefully we'll have a good mix

Day 9 in the Axolotl House

Looks like we have a few various colours.

The eyes start to develop and the gills become more defined.
You can see the egg lining where they have been eating it from the inside.

you can see from the last pic they are starting to look more like Axolotls rather than baby fish

We got our first hatchling this morning! All the rest look big enough to get out now, I'm expecting a few more in the morning.

Heres the hatchling (sorry about the photo quality but this girl's about 3-4mm and won't get any closer to the edge of the tank)

Here's Chimmey-Changa (the mixed up coloured one) hopefully he'll keep these strange colours as he grows :
